In parallel, we work to identify and address the underlying origins of the distress to support long-term improvement.
Trauma occurs when an event or prolonged stress overwhelms the nervous system’s capacity to cope, leading to lasting physiological and psychological effects. These experiences disrupt the body’s ability to return to baseline, often resulting in symptoms such as hyperarousal, avoidance, intrusive memories, emotional numbing, or dysregulation in mood and relationships.
Therapy focuses on restoring regulation, integrating the traumatic material, and strengthening adaptive coping. Evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, somatic modalities, and attachment-focused treatment help reduce symptom intensity and support long-term recovery
Healthy relationships are central to emotional well-being, yet patterns from past experiences, communication difficulties, and unresolved attachment wounds can create recurring conflict or disconnection. In therapy, we work to identify these underlying dynamics, build awareness of each partner’s emotional responses, and develop more effective ways of relating. Through evidence-based approaches—such as attachment-focused work, emotion regulation strategies, and interpersonal skills training—I help clients strengthen communication, increase secure connection, and navigate relationships with greater clarity, flexibility, and confidence.
Adolescents often face rapid changes in emotion, identity, relationships, and academic pressure, which can feel overwhelming without the right support. As a therapist, I help teens develop the skills to understand their emotions, communicate effectively, and navigate stress in healthier ways. Through a combination of evidence-based practices and a strong therapeutic relationship, I provide a space where adolescents can explore their thoughts safely, build resilience, and learn strategies that improve functioning at home, in school, and in their social world. My goal is to support their growth while empowering them to feel more confident, regulated, and connected.
